More indoor sports (and a top 10 finish!)

Took the kids to the local rink today for some skating. The second rink had a hockey practice going on, so I took a few shots. Nothing exciting, but it gave me some more practice at shooting sports indoors.
The hearts challenge just ended, and I found out I took 9th place! Woohoo, my first top 10 finish!

Grats on the top 10 finish. I love your pencil heart. Nice sports action too.
heh, I thought I recognized those pencils. Congrats
Nice action shot. And congrats on the 9th place. It's a great shot. Maybe someday I'll break into the top 10.
I saw your shot over at the DP site and loved it. Great shot and really.. congratulations on your 9th place.. that is just awesome!!
Hockey.. Oh I love that sport.. Of course here in Hawaii we have NO hockey so I have to just watch on TV.. LOL .. Terrific action hockey shot. :)
Great action shot!!
Also I want to once again congratulate you on the well-deserved top placement with your Heart challenge entry. Whoohooo!!
Great use of the pencils, very original!
Congrats on 9th place, I love that image!
Nice job on your heart entry!
Your sport shot is great. You've got the three key elements as told to me by John Setzler: one player from each team and the object in play (the puck)
I've found the white balance to be difficult in hockey arenas. You seem to have done a good job. What's your secret?
Woo! I looked through the results but not carefully at the names, I guess. I voted this highly because I appreciate that it's not horribly photoshoppy like lots of the entries in that challenge. Good job.
Congrats on being in the top 10. One of my favorite hearts shot!
Congrats on the 9th place finish! Well done!
I never thought about the key elements that pidge mentioned for sports shots, but she's right.. it makes for an interesting photo! Nice job!
Congrats on the top 10 finish! I really liked this shot. Great idea and great execution as well.
Congrats on the top ten.
Such a simple picture. Just goes to show that things don't have to be overdone to do well on DPC.
I just have to throw in my Kudos. It was good to see yours do so well against the photomanipulated crowd. Great job.
Congratulations. This was such a great shot! If you are into stockphoto this is bound to be a seller, too!
Enjoyed a lot! »
