Back to the future past!

My wife and I went to a friend's birthday party tonight. The theme was the 1980's. Of course, I had to accessorize by digging through some boxes in the garage and finding my first cell phone, circa 1989 or 1990 I believe. I added my current cell phone into the photo for scale. Actually, it's even bigger than it looks here. I think I paid about $400 for this phone when I bought it. There was no monthly charge, but I was charged $0.75 per minute for usage.

Nice idea, I like the contrast between the big old simple phone, and the new shiny little one. At least if they still made phones that size everyone wouldn't be carrying them everywhere to force their conversations on everyone else in public all the time.. lol
Oh I just had to laugh.. I remember having one of those phones. So bulky and had to carry it everywhere for work... Oh my gosh... What a terrific shot.. Aloha, Renee :)
Whoa what a difference :) Nice shot.
$400!!! whatt???
LOL, I remember the good 'ol days when mobile phone meant carrying a 5lbs brick around! LOL
I remember those, and the even bigger ones that came in their own briefcase like thingy they were so large (slightly bigger than a grandma's purse) Hope you had fun at the party, sounds like it was a good one!
ahhhh, the 80s. I've been taking trips back there all week trying to come up with something for dpc's challenge.

you actually have that thing!
Nice contrast and the amazing thing is that tiny phone lying next to it can do much more than that piece of brick !
and we thought we were so trendy carrying them round!!
LOL!!!! That is hilarious!
We've come quite a ways eh? Still, there's one thing those old phones were good for. They actually worked to *call* someone.
lol.
I remember those..that is to funny you still have one.
We've come a long way, haven't we? My first cell phone was a bag phone. Remember those? It's amazing how small and fast things are getting these day.
Again, nice even lighting and a clean image. Great for stock!
Holy crap batman! Wow, it's like looking in a way back when machine. I can't believe how things have changed in such a realitivly short time. Nice lighting, and I love that you took the shot at an angle.
Keep up the good work video editing schools
